Hello, I am Robert Mulindwa.

I am a new author and a speaker. Today I live in Tennessee, USA, but I was born in Uganda. The year was 1977 when God interrupted eternity, and introduced me into the dimension of time as we know it. About this time my country of birth (Uganda) was under the oppressive and military dictatorship of the then self-styled, self-anointed President for Life Field Marshal Idi Amin Dada.

Four years after my birth Uganda descended into a guerilla war that lasted five years. Because my dad was an active participant in the guerilla struggle, this presented a challenging time for our family. Due to political instability and financial hardships, among other things, we became itinerant in nature as a family. One day I happened to be playing with other kids when a barrage of gunfire went off—not so far off from where we were playing. This was in January of 1986, and I was eight years old at the time. The whole town was under intense gunfire—between escaping government forces and the pursuing guerilla fighters.

Unable to reunite with my family on that day, I ran off, away from town, and up into the hills. By the grace of God I found refuge in the isolated home of an old woman and there I stayed for the night.

The next day as I trekked back to town I stumbled upon a corpse with brain matter spread out over the ground. Scared out of my wits, I ran off—so hard and so fast—towards our then home. Nobody was home, in fact the whole town was deserted. I was confused. I didn’t know what to do next. I decided just to sit down. Moments later out of nowhere I saw a figure in the distance walking towards me, and behold it was my mom. We hugged and embraced and left to join my siblings.

That same month the war concluded, by the grace of God. We reunited with our father, and once again we were one happy family. Unfortunately, Mom and Dad separated two years later in 1988. This was a tough pill to swallow. It was tough for me and my siblings, living life separated from our mom. We missed her tender loving care.

Growing up in a home where my biological mother was absent negatively impacted me psychologically. But they say every dark cloud has a silver lining, and to me this led to coming up to speed as far as mental growth and maturity. I believe my education, that mainly happened in Catholic boarding schools in Uganda, was pivotal in the man I became. I discovered that in each of us God placed potential, talents, and gifts that define who we are.

After years of schooling, I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Statistics and Math in 2001. Later on I received a Master’s degree in Financial Management and Investment in 2005, and that same year I relocated to the USA. Within that same year I welcomed my first child into this world. No sooner had I settled in the USA than the Global Financial Recession of 2008 unfolded. Interruptions in employment due to the recession presented some of the toughest moments of my adult life. In a bid to sustain my family, I had to find ways to supplement the unemployment insurance check with some other income.

What do you do when all hell is breaking loose around you? Do you descend into a pity party or decide to fight back? I chose the latter, embarking on the job of scavenging for aluminum soda and beer cans wherever I could find them, including apartment dumpsters. These I would liquidate for a few dollars each week that went towards covering food, a light bill, or rent.

About this time, I enrolled into night classes for a Pharmacy Technician Diploma. In the year 2011, I began working as a Pharmacy Technician with CVS Pharmacy. That same year I began on nursing degree program prerequisites, and later was admitted into the program. One of my landmark accomplishments was becoming a Certified Registered Nurse after years of toiling. By the mercy and grace of God, He matures everything at the right time.

Over the years I have come to appreciate the fact that the biggest obstacle to success is settling into one’s last accomplishment. Even with the stability of my family life brought about by years of employment as an RN, I still had a voice in the inner me I could not silence. I believe all of us have this voice, one that keeps talking to you, about something greater than you, a voice that has to do with answering the question, “Why did I come this way?” In trying to answer this question, I realized there was fruit in me that l have to serve the world. With this I launched into writing, the result of which is my first book, “Created for Success.”

Through authorship I envision reaching multitudes and transforming mindsets. In creating content through writing and authorship of books, a doorway to speaking will swing open. Looking ahead I envision “Mulindwa Global Media, Inc.” under the mantra, “Transforming Mindsets and Empowering the Hoi Polloi (the people).”

THANK YOU for being here, and to God be the glory, power, and dominion.

Chapter 1:

God's Purpose for Man

IN INVESTIGATING THE reason for man’s existence, it’s imperative to understand the reason why God created mankind in the first place. Using the Kingdom of God Constitution and Law Book as reference, there appeared to be a dialogue among the Holy Trinity the result of which was this:

Then God said, Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.” So, God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.

(Genesis 1:26-27, NIV)

The inference from this is that mankind is representative of God on Earth with the primary mandate of rulership on behalf of God. We are kings and queens, and God is the King of kings. Moses put it this way:

God blessed them and said to them, be fruitful and increase in number, fill the Earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.

(Genesis 1:28, NIV)

Let's not forget that it is not anywhere clearly stated or mentioned in scripture that angels were created in the image of God, neither were they given the mandate to rule Earth on God's behalf. This further demonstrates how special a being mankind is. Just like God, so to speak . . .

Chapter 2:

The Crux of Faith in God

For visiting this website, I'd like to share the SECOND chapter of "Created for Success" with you for free as well. And after you read it, I'll offer Chapter 3 for free also.

BEFORE STEPPING INTO one's purpose, an important prerequisite is faith in God. From time to time, you have heard people say, “Keep the faith and trust in God, all will be alright.” Normally this response is in times of trials, tests, and challenges, but what really is faith? The Hebrew equivalent for faith is Emunah. Emunah implies support, therefore we can count on the Lord’s support. The Bible says this about Emunah . . .
